NEW SINGLE:

SUPERBLOOM/SUPERNOVA

Release date: 2/27/26

Influenced by bands such as Paramore, Beartooth, Grayscale and Origami Angel and recently amassing 1 million streams across all platforms, Wine & Warpaint has showcased vulnerability and raw energy throughout their early EP’s and their debut album “Disassociate” released in 2024.

Their new single “Superbloom/Supernova” is produced, mixed, and mastered by Kyle Black (Paramore, State Champs, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday) and represents the most relentless and cathartic offering yet from the band.

“It’s about sex and euphoria, and it talks about the role that physical intimacy can play in reconnecting, healing, and reinvigorating a relationship when things get hard,” says Brandon O’Neill, the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter behind the Wine & Warpaint moniker. “Sonically, we talked about how every decision we made was to make the song more relentless. We were painstakingly meticulous during recording, cutting a bunch out of the initial demo, adding bass drops, explosions, and organic analog synth textures to make the hits more intense and the choruses more euphoric. It’s more polished and also more raw than Wine & Warpaint has ever been.”

The song announces this new ethos immediately, starting fast on its way to an infectious and anthemic chorus. After a trademark downturn in verse two, showcasing the band’s signature juxtaposition of heavy and light, the song’s feature is the breakdown, which is their best and heaviest to date.

Superbloom/Supernova releases 2/27/26.

DEBUT ALBUM:

Disassociate

Disassociate, the debut full-length from Richmond, VA quintet Wine & Warpaint, is an ambitious, rhapsodic introduction to the band’s signature blend of big hooks, punk edge, and wall of sound energy. Honed over three EPs and a covid cover album, the 12 track LP makes full use of the band’s musical breadth that led them to be recognized in 2021 as winners of the Player Plus Studio Sessions: Powered by Fender, where they were selected by a celebrity panel of music legends and executives as one of the 26 best unsigned bands in the world.

The album kicks off with the aggressive opener “The View’s So Good With Your Head in the Ground” that features an extended spoken word outro, setting the tone for the album’s left-of-center pop punk approach. The if-it-ain’t-broke straight-up rock energy of “Bad Nihilist” gives way to the modern emo pop stylings of “Bring Me Back” that would be right at home as a Bring Me the Horizon b-side. The 7/4 time signature change over screamed vocals in “Shattered” immediately segueing into the introspective duet “Is It Over” in some way gives credence to the genre-bending orchestral finisher “Synchrony”, if anything by setting the stage to expect the the unexpected.
